Two teams consisting of a total of 15 self-funding volunteers, 10 dentists, 1 dental therapist, 3 dental nurses and 1 lawyer acting as a dental nurse have returned safely home after a very successful trip to Malawi. They treated more than 1700 patients and removed nearly 3000 teeth, they gave out over 1000 toothbrushes and gave oral hygiene advise to 1000s of patients, they held a successful conference for the local Malawian dental therapists and have returned home exhausted but enthused by their experiences and with life long memories from the warm heart of Africa.
